Stadler at Bike to work 2024: Full speed ahead for a greener future   As part of this year's "Bike to work" challenge, 336 Stadler employees in 91 teams from the Swiss, German and US locations biked to work in the months of May and June. They showed high motivation by having achieved amazing results. In total 163,239 kilometers were covered on 8,363 bike days. This equals an impressive reduction of 23,506 kg of CO2 and is a huge encouragement to use sustainable means of transport for the good of our planet.   A big thank you to all participants and congratulations on this impressive achievement. Stadler FLIRT for Thurbo successfully assembled Witness the “marriage” of the first of 107 single-deck FLIRT multiple-unit trains produced by Stadler for Thurbo AG. The vehicles belong to the initial call-off order for 286 FLIRT signed with Swiss Federal Railways (SBB), Thurbo and RegionAlps. The new FLIRT trains are set to run throughout Switzerland and we are proud to cooperate with Thurbo for offering our country, passengers and employees the best of rail travel. In train construction, the “marriage” is a unique moment in which the train bogie is assembled to its cars and it’s one of the most important steps that marks the beginning of the next project phase. We simply cannot wait to see our innovative FLIRT finally running on Swiss tracks, and you? Stadler enhances comfort, efficiency and safety on Masovia’s rails   The Polish railway operator Koleje Mazowieckie - KM sp. z o.o. (KM) and Stadler have signed a framework agreement that includes the supply of up to 50 state-of-the-art FLIRT electric multiple unit trains and their maintenance for 18 years. The new trains will expand the rolling stock fleet of KM and boost the comfort and safety of travel from Warsaw to Masovian cities and towns. The investment will be co-financed with EU funds.   Thanks to our modern and reliable FLIRT vehicles, Masovia will discover a new aspect of rail transport: travellers will be able to reach every corner of the region more quickly and comfortably.   We are happy to have marked another important milestone in our partnership with KM. Stadler SMILE now on Zurich-Frankfurt route Our SMILE made its first planned journey on the Zurich-Frankfurt route in passenger service!   Stadler is cooperating with SBB CFF FFS and Deutsche Bahn to offer more direct connections between Germany and Switzerland. With its level boarding, spacious interior and 405 comfortable seats, the modern Giruno, Stadler’s SMILE high-speed trains, is now operating between Zurich and Frankfurt. And that’s not all: the journey is planned to be extended to Milan, Italy, from September, once the construction work in the Gotthard tunnel will be completed.   It’s incredible to witness how far we’ve come and it fills us with pride to know that with our very well-received products we’re enhancing mobility.   #StadlerSMILE #GiurnoTrains #Cross-borderTravel #BetterMobility
