Orthographic and Perspective are two 3D to 2D projection techniques that apply to both the 3D Viewport and renders, but are independently controlled in each. Use this tag for questions about Orthographic 3D Viewport Display, or using the Orthographic Lens in a render.

Perspective and Orthographic are two different ways of projecting a 3D space onto a 2D plane for viewing. Blender can display the 3D Viewport using either projection. This is independent of the projection used in rendering the scene. That is controlled by the type of lens, a camera setting.
