I’ve watched so many tutorials and have been trying to figure out how to color this square but I can’t. It’s in the proper settings but it won’t change at all??? I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong I just want to make this square blue but it won’t.

1$\begingroup$ I suspect the same as @Chris here, because if only the color were the problem, your cube should look different in rendered view, yours is missing shading like this one: default cube rendered which is how the default startup scene with the point light at the top right look like in rendered view and what seems to be your scene as well. But please, make proper screenshots instead of taking photos from your monitor. $\endgroup$– Gordon BrinkmannCommented Jun 24 at 5:55

2$\begingroup$ I would like to sincerely recommend watching more beginner tutorials. It will be way easier for you to understand and everything will be explained in pretty much any beginner tutorial course. It really cannot be that much that you watched if you did not get how materials work, so you should probably also adjust your expectations of just how much tutorials you need to watch to learn stuff. $\endgroup$– Martynas ŽiemysCommented Jun 24 at 6:02
