Thailand boasts enormous economic potential, and its growth as a regional transport hub is well underway. Leveraging its strategic location between the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea, DP World is committed to advancing the country's trade capabilities. It was a pleasure meeting Prime Minister Mr. Srettha Thavisin and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Mr. Suriya Jungrungreangkit. Through meaningful partnerships, we aim to stimulate further growth in the country. The promising development plans for our operations fill me with optimism for the future, and I look forward to the opportunities they will bring. A highlight of my trip was seeing our operations firsthand at the country’s busiest port, Laem Chabang International Terminal, and witnessing how we are expanding to provide end-to-end logistics solutions. Many thanks to Glen Hilton, our CEO and Managing Director of DP World in Asia Pacific, and the team in Thailand for your warm welcome. Your dedication is the cornerstone of our shared success and future growth - it was a delight to meet all of you.

As logistics providers, it's our responsibility to ensure equitable access to healthcare delivered in a cost and time efficient, streamlined way. And never has this been more evident than during the Covid-19 pandemic, which highlighted the costly gaps in resilient and efficient healthcare supply chains. Despite the pandemic being long gone, demand for healthcare and pharmaceutical products is only going to increase. So, how do we ensure robust supply chains for our customers across Europe?   1. Ensure our warehouses are built for purpose. The healthcare trade is by nature complex: most products need to be stored at specially built facilities for sub-zero storage. But with the right mindset we can quickly adapt our existing infrastructure and processes. Case in point: when a major German pharmaceutical manufacturing customer upped its first defence products during the pandemic, we quickly responded to the challenge, using our inland rail and trucking networks to collect the hazardous cargo from two production facilities and deliver goods to local authorities in Hamburg and to nearby hospitals. In addition, we repurposed our hazmat warehouse facility in Schönebeck, transforming it into an overspill storage facility for our customer and the state procurement department throughout the pandemic. Thanks to our quick, efficient response, we delivered over 616,000 litres of sanitiser and stored 600 pallets of hazardous material in the hazmat warehouse in just seven days. 2. Streamline our processes to ensure time-efficiency. The increase in demand for pharmaceuticals products can cause shortages, price hikes, and time lags. Our network across the region integrates our multimodal offer with disruptive future-proof technology. Through our logistics capabilities, we’re able to offer customers diverse transport solutions, set up custom-made warehousing, and quickly deploy skilled staff to quickly scale and build efficient and business-conducive supply chain solutions. 3. Listen to our customers' and partners' requirements. We are in the business of supporting our customers in achieving their goals, and this is nothing different. By listening to our clients' needs from end to end, we are confident we can make a difference in value along this vital supply chain. Understanding and believing in the process is how you make a difference. And DP World is removing these challenges for our European and global customers.

On the eve of India’s thrilling win over a valiant South Africa in Saturday’s International Cricket Council Men’s T20 World Cup Final in Barbados, we brought our Beyond Boundaries Initiative to the island. With the help of West Indies legend Chris Gayle, we delivered another 250 kits to grassroots cricket, taking the total number delivered to 2,250 since the initiative launched in October 2023. The kits and equipment will be distributed across three beneficiary organisations to serve aspiring cricketers across Barbados. The ninth container of the initiative will serve the Barbados Royals Girls Cricket Club as a fully-equipped changing facility, bolstering the infrastructure that will make the game accessible to more girls in the future. The mural adorning the container, created by local artists, features several of the girls from the club alongside our global ambassador, Sachin Tendulkar. We are proud to support the ICC in the delivery of their pinnacle events, such as this fantastic edition of the Men’s T20 World Cup, while also using our expertise and smart solutions to deliver our shared vision of improved access to cricket for communities around the globe. Proof that small changes can make a big difference. The Move to -15°C initiative was awarded a Titanium Lion, a Gold Lion in the SDG category, and a Silver Lion in the B2B category at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity! Winning a Titanium Lion is a huge testament to this ground-breaking initiative. The award celebrates game-changing creativity with campaigns that mark a new direction for the industry — ‘The Move to -15°C’ does just that. Since the 'Move to -15°C's initiative was launched at COP28 last year, it has now evolved into an independent coalition steering the industry towards the 2050 net-zero goal, promoting collaboration to cut emissions across the supply chain. The temperature standard for storing and transporting frozen food hasn't changed in nearly a century, but research has shown that a shift from -18ºC to -15ºC can reduce emissions, cut supply chain costs and safeguard food resources for the world's growing population. Launched at #COP28 last year, we are proud to be a founding member of #MoveToMinus15, an industry-wide coalition that aims to redefine frozen food temperature standards. This small change has the potential to make a big difference. Read more about the coalition's latest developments here: https://lnkd.in/eMNxu45h

Every year, global logistics companies move millions of tonnes of frozen food at a temperature of -18°C. But did you know that this temperature standard was established almost a century ago, despite technology having evolved significantly in the decades since? The #MoveToMinus15 is an industry-wide coalition exploring the feasibility of shifting the way frozen food is stored and transported around the world from -18°C to -15°C. But no one company can make this change alone. Underpinned by independent academic research, our aim is to collaborate with industry to redefine frozen food temperature standards to cut greenhouse gases and lower supply chain costs – a small change that can make a big impact.
