Prime Video has shared first-look images from the highly anticipated 3DCG animated series Sausage Party: Foodtopia, from Annapurna Television, Sony Pictures Television, and Amazon MGM Studios. The show’s eight-episode July 11 streaming debut will be available in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
Based on the 2016 animated feature Sausage Party, the series follows Frank, Brenda, Barry, and Sammy as they try to build their own food society. Original feature film cast members Seth Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Michael Cera, David Krumholtz, and Edward Norton return alongside Will Forte, Natasha Rothwell, and Yassir Lester, who lend their voices, in addition to Sam Richardson, who portrays an orange named Julius.
Ariel Shaffir and Kyle Hunter serve as series executive producers and showrunners and co-wrote the 2016 animated feature film with Rogen and Evan Goldberg. Rogen, Goldberg, James Weaver, and Alex McAtee executive produce via Point Grey Pictures, and Madeline Blair oversees for Point Grey Pictures. The film’s director, Conrad Vernon, returns as series director and executive producer alongside Annapurna Television’s Megan Ellison, Patrick Chu, and Andrew Millstein.
Sausage Party: Foodtopia is a co-production of Annapurna Television, Sony Pictures Television, and Amazon MGM Studios. The original film was a co-production between Columbia Pictures and Great Beyond.
