Call for Submissions: 2024 Reallusion 3D Character Contest

$45,000 in cash along with various physical prizes to be awarded to winners in multiple categories including ‘Best Character Design,’ ‘Best Character Animation’ and ‘Best AccuRIG Character;’ submission deadline is September 1, 2024.

Reallusion, a leading innovator in the 3D industry with pipelines that automate character production with ZBrush, Unreal Engine, Blender, and Omniverse, has announced its 2024 Reallusion 3D Character Contest. The event is an opportunity for the 3D art community to gain hands-on experience with industry-leading solutions and learn from seasoned professionals.

Reallusion’s content ecosystem provides ready-made models and motions suitable for various mediums, including games, films, architectural visualization, digital doubling, and twinning. The company’s Character Creator stands as a premier character creation platform, while iClone offers intuitive real-time animation editing. Combined with the rich asset library on ActorCore, character designers and artists can achieve impressive results fast.

The contest provides 3D artists a platform to showcase their talent and skills to a global audience, gain valuable feedback, and see how they compare to their peers. All enthusiastic 3D artists are invited to participate, including concept artists, character artists, 3D scan artists, animators, digital modelers, and sculptors.

Contest Categories:

The 2024 Reallusion 3D Character Contest features three main categories with each offering unique cash and product prizes. The "Best Character Design" and "Best Character Animation" categories are further divided into “Realistic” and “Stylized” subcategories, mirroring their respective prize distribution models. In all, there are five contest categories:

  • Best Character Design (Realistic & Stylized)
  • Best Character Animation (Realistic & Stylized)
  • Best AccuRIG Character

In addition to $45,000 in cash awards and special prizes, selected artists may be invited to join the digital content creation ecosystem and monetize their work or be contracted to showcase projects.

Physical prizes include NVIDIA RTX-4070 laptop and full mocap solutions from Rokoko and Noitom. Software prizes include KitBash3D Cargo, Texturing.xyz, 3Dconnexion, Keen Tools, and a Maxon One license that includes ZBrush.
