Jason Sudeikis and Josh Gad will reprise their roles as Red and Chuck in the 3rd entry in the popular animated film franchise; Rovio Entertainment Corporation, SEGA, and Prime Focus Studios produce with animation partner DNEG.

Rovio Entertainment Corporation, SEGA, and Prime Focus Studios are kicking off production of The Angry Birds Movie 3, produced in association with One Cool Group, Flywheel Media, and Dentsu. DNEG Animation is the animation partner.

Jason Sudeikis (Ted Lasso, SNL, We’re the Millers) and Josh Gad (Frozen, Beauty and the Beast, Gutenberg!, Murder on the Orient Express) return, reprising their roles as Red and Chuck. Representing Sudeikis are Brillstein Entertainment Partners and TAG, with Gad represented by Sugar 23, CAA, and JSSK. More casting news is coming soon.

The film follows the success of the first two Angry Birds movies, which, according to the production companies, have grossed together over $500m at the worldwide box office and been successfully received on streaming platforms.

John Rice (Angry Birds, Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe) directs from a screenplay by Thurop Van Orman (Angry Birds 2, Adventure Time, Flapjack), who executive produces alongside Toru Nakahara (Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic Prime, Golden Axe). John Cohen (Despicable Me, The Garfield Movie, Angry Birds), Dan Chuba (The Mitchells vs. the Machines), and Carla Connor (The Willoughbys) serve as producers.

Jeanie Chang returns as production designer and Francesca Natale as character designer. Head of story is Vadim Bazhanov, and lead editor is Sarah K. Reimers. DNEG Animation is responsible for storyboards, art development, and animation.

Rovio, SEGA, and Prime Focus Studios recently co-produced The Garfield Movie with Alcon Entertainment. Prime Focus Studios is currently in production on Animal Friends with Legendary Entertainment and Ryan Reynolds’ Maximum Effort and on the Indian title Ramayana with actor-producer Yash’s Monster Mind Creations.
