I created an event, but it is never executed. Why?
Ensure the event scheduler is enabled. Variable 'event_scheduler' is a GLOBAL variable and should be set with SET GLOBAL as follows:
SET GLOBAL event_scheduler = ON ;
Verify,
SHOW GLOBAL VARIABLES ...
