About us
Beckhoff implements open automation systems based on PC Control technology. The product range covers IPCs, I/O and Fieldbus Components, Drive Technology and automation software. Products that can be used as separate components or integrated into a complete and seamless control system are available for all industries. The Beckhoff “New Automation Technology” philosophy represents universal and open control and automation solutions that are used worldwide in a variety of different applications, ranging from CNC-controlled machines to intelligent building automation. The South African subsidiary, Beckhoff Automation (Pty) Ltd, is located in Johannesburg, and was opened in 2006. Cape Town, Durban and Port Elizabeth branches cover their respective regions. Beckhoff South Africa has a highly-competent sales and technical support team, as well as a fully-equipped Training Centres and a Level-1 Service Centre. Beckhoff supports their customers and partners directly through experienced staff, as well as through a network of Certified Solution Providers (System Integrators). Beckhoff South Africa therefore guarantees proficient customer service and advice, with Sub-Saharan Africa serviced by the Johannesburg head-office. Many automation technology standards that are taken for granted today were conceptualised by Beckhoff at an early stage and successfully introduced to the market. Relay modules are available for directly connecting high power loads to the MX-System, such as asynchronous motors, lighting, or electric heating.
