HireVue Applicant Reasonable Accommodations Process

Federal agencies must provide reasonable accommodations to qualified applicants with disabilities, when appropriate, in accordance with the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, as amended (ADA Amendments Act of 2008 (ADAAA).

HireVue is an on-demand structured interview assessment tool to evaluate candidates who are applying to select vacancy announcements. The position announcement will specifically denote the use of HireVue. The instructions below only pertain to reasonable accommodation requests regarding HireVue-specific job announcements and applications. If you are seeking a reasonable accommodation for job announcements and applications that do not require the HireVue assessment, please reach out to the Point of Contact listed in the “Agency Contact Information” section of the job announcement.

Reasonable accommodations for (unproctored) HireVue Structured Interviews are modifications to the online interview and assessment process that may be provided to qualified individuals with disabilities as provided for in the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, as amended. The purpose of an accommodation is to provide equal access to the interview process for applicants with disabilities. Applicants who request a reasonable accommodation will have their request reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Reasonable accommodation requests that are determined to be warranted and reasonable will be granted.
