General Hospital star Antonio Sabato Jr said he was dropped from Hollywood after supporting Donald Trump and ended up driving construction equipment around Florida to make a living instead.

The actor said he struggled for years, but says 'things are getting better.' He opened up about how his life changed dramatically after he openly supported Donald Trump.

He told Daily Mail: "If you disagree with the power of Hollywood about major key points in our country, it can get very dangerous. I think it's going to be like that for the rest of my life. But whether you disagree with me or not, you have yo give some respect for someone who stand up to the bully."

He claimed: "They tried to blackball me and make sure I would never work in this town again, but I will continue to work and make my path."

Antonio, who starred in Melrose Place and General Hospital, was also a contestant on Dancing With the Stars. He dabbled in politics too - and ran for the 26th Congressional seat in California in 2018, and ended up coming second.

Antonio explained that how after his marriage ended, he went from doing Hollywood films to driving construction material over Florida, where he moved with his family.
