- 2. Hi, I’m Richard. I’m a UX Writer. I’ve created user-first content for over 4 years. I design content that tries its best to empathize. I focus on how a feature can be useful so users can get a job done. I’ve done work for companies such as LG, Samsung Business, Hyundai Mobis, etc. I’ve worked on everything from naming features to figuring out if a color is purple or violet. It’s purple by the way. I’m not the best on my own. I rely on the strengths of designers, developers, product managers, etc., to create strength for my own work. A brief note for the pages following: • The pictured work is from the LG G6+ but included work that was done earlier. • Some UX copy that I wrote was not implemented on some screens. • Some UX copy that I wrote was lost in process for some screens. • Some design changes were made before release that were geared for the Korean version. • LG’s copy style tends to be: • More neutral than casual. • More concise. - 4. Number Blocking GOAL Redesign the call reject and spam message features so they are seamless with one another. CHALLENGE Update the copy and combine Google’s blocking feature with LG’s message and call blocking features. - 6. App Trash GOAL Write copy for the new app trash feature. Deleted apps go into trash before they are permanently deleted from the phone. CHALLENGE There were inconsistencies in the design and the copy had to align. PROCESS Understand > Discuss > Research > Ideate > Write > Iterate Settings, pop-ups, buttons, toasts, etc. LG G6 SOME OF THE INCONSISTENCIES 1. X means delete within the design but a widget has an X even though the widget is not deleted after tapping the X. 2. In the app trash, there is a trash icon that is supposed to signify emptying the trash.
