Web3 refers to the next stage of the World Wide Web that allows information to be linked to real world objects and locations using modern web and device capabilities. It builds on previous stages like Web1.0 for basic HTML pages and Web2.0 for social platforms by incorporating real-world sensors and computing into the web experience. Rapid adoption of web3 has been hindered by fragmentation across browsers and devices in supporting relevant HTML5 features, but a compliance test can determine if your device already supports core web3 capabilities like video, geo-location, 3D and motion sensors.
