- Mobile devices have become rather
indispensible to us in these modern times.
- Modern technology, if meshed with mobile
devices, could see an unprecedented
overdependence on mobile devices to
accomplish even the simplest of tasks.
What is Web 3.0?
Web 3.0 is the
successor to
Web 2.0, and
has been touted
has the new,
'smarter' form of
web.
"Web 3.0 is a set of standards
that turns the Web into one big
database."
- Nova Spivack
CEO of Radar Networks
What does this mean?
Okay, some
history before
we proceed...
In the beginning,
there was Web 1.0
With Web 1.0...
 Sites were static!
 Sites weren't interactive!
 and Applications were proprietary!
But in 2005,
something happened...
Web 3.0
:(
Then came along
Web 2.0...
Web 2.0 became
the 'next big thing'!
Web 3.0
With Web 2.0...
 We could suddenly update and change site
contents (blogs, facebook, myspace)
 We could share contents (Wikis, Youtube, etc)
 Collaboration became thoroughly possible (Skype,
Cisco WebEx, etc)
 Applications could now employ the open source
philosophy (Mozilla, OpenOffice.org, etc)
But just like its
predecessor...
Web 3.0
And so,
Web 3.0 was born!
However...
It is still uncertain whether Web 3.0
is already in full gear, or the web
today is simply an evolution of Web 2.0
Nevertheless...
Let's take a look at Web 3.0
and how it compares with
the previous versions...
Web 3.0
In a nutshell...
So what exactly is the
Catch ?
Web 3.0 is going to be like having a
personal assistant who knows
everything about you and can
access all the information on the
internet to answer any question.
For example...
If you want to go out for a movie of a
specific genre and also want to eat out
after the movie, you will type in a
complex sentence and the search
engine will fetch the answer for you.
An example of Web 3.0 will be
"I want to go for an action movie
and then eat at a good
Chinese restaurant.
My options are?"
You query string will be:
- analyzed by the Web 3.0 browser
- looked up the Internet
- fetch all the possible answers
- and also organize the results for
you.
Interesting, eh?
With Mobile Technology?
+
Gartner Research
predicts that in 2014,
90% of the world will
own a mobile phone
capable of accessing
the Internet.
Even as it uncertain what Web 3.0 is going to be
like exactly, almost all the theorists agree on one
thing.
Mobile technology will be at the forefront of any
new Internet technological push
In essence...
With Web 3.0
=> Mobile Tourism
=> Mobile Banking
&
=> Mobile Marketing
WILL BE MUCH MORE EASIER!!!
