These are the Launchers, the AD ad FileShare.Remember the goal of VSI is to minimize backend connections. AD is just used for authentication of user sessions on Terminal Server and Virtual Desktops.A fileshare is needed for (consolidated) log files and configuration. The Master and Slave launchers are needed to create ICA or RDP sessions to the TS and Desktop workloads.This slide explains a typical setup for VSI workloads. 4 Windows XP VM’s are running on a Hypervisor. Every 60 seconds a user session is setup on a Windows Desktop OS. The VM’s are already running and aren’t created on demand.\User logon is part of the benchmark process
