Overview When the sun’s fuel is used up, its core will shrink and its outer layers will expand (red giant), swallowing the nearby planets. The Stability of the SunHydrogen Burning ShellThe sun contains huge amounts of matter, which produces a large gravitational force that squeezes the star inwards.Helium Core In order to combat the inward crush resulting from the gravitational force, the sun utilizes  fusion power to hold itself up. Bad News ! The hydrogen fuel of the sun can’t last forever. In approximately five billion years from now, the Hydrogen at the centre of the sun will all be converted into Helium.  The gravity of the sun will be overwhelmed and its layers will fall towards its nuclei. The heat at the core of the sun will rise as a result. This will heat the outer layers causing it to expand. This doesn’t mean that the doomsday will be after (4.5) billion years. The sun will have become a red giant, so large that it will engulf the planet Mercury, perhaps extending to encompass the orbit of the earth.Even if the swollen sun stretches no farther out than Mercury, the heat reaching earth will be from 500 to 1,000 times as great as it is today. The Holy Qur’an on the Fate of the SunGod says in the Holy Qur’an what means, "When the sun (with its spacious light) is folded up " [81: 1] This is a matchless metaphor for describing the sun as it loses its light. Takwir means to fold up; hence takwir al- `amamah means folding up the turban on the head. Here, the light which radiates from the sun and spreads throughout the solar system has been likened to the turban and it has been said that on the Resurrection Day the turban will be folded up about the sun and its radiation will fadewww.knowmuhammad.com
The Holy Qur’an is in Agreement with Science The Holy Qur’an uses the Arabic word ”Kwe’rat” in the place of “folded up”.The word can be translated, according to Qur’an expounders, as: Folded up (like a turban) It is scientifically known that stars like the sun always explode forming a nebula that looks like a turban.Made like a ball It is known that the sun is not completely spherical. Also, it triggers flames, which will all disappear when the sun collapses.Its light will fade away and eventually will be extinguished. So What Will Happen When the Sun Comes Close to the Earth? The Fate of the MoonThe outer layers of the sun will expand and will engulf the moon, which will have already moved towards the sun. The Fate of the SeasWhen the sun comes closer to the earth, the water of the oceans will boil. It will be set on fire because water will be decomposed into its two elements which are Hydrogen and Oxygen. The first will cause explosion and the second will set the seas on fire. The Holy Qur’an says in this regard what means:“And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire”(81:6)“And when the seas are erupted” (82:3)www.knowmuhammad.com
Sufferings on the Earth When the sun comes close to the earth, the outer crust will be broken and the earth will suffer from frightening quakes and volcanoes will erupt. The physical appearance of the earth will be changed and extended causing all the stuff within it to be expelled. The Holy Qur’an refers to the same facts. God says in the Holy Qur’an what means:“When the sky has split [open] (1) And has responded to its Lord and was obligated [to do so] (2) And when the earth has been extended (3) And has cast out that within it and relinquished [it]” www.knowmuhammad.com
“ The earth will be lifeless rock” says a scientists. The Holy Qur’an says in this regard:And indeed, We will make that which is upon it [into] a barren ground. (18:8) The fate of the mountainsThe mountains will be affected by the massive earthquakes and volcanoes. The Holy Qur’an says in this regard what means:“And they ask you about the mountains, so say, ‘My Lord will blow them away with a blast.
