What’s Our Role? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MGMsT4qNA-c
Our Responsibility From toy to tool
Our Responsibility "Students will be—and to some extent already are—living in a world of online interactions for which they currently have few learning contexts or models," Will Richardson (p. 26) tells us: Teaching students to contribute and collaborate online in ways that are both safe and appropriate requires instruction and modeling, not simply crossing our fingers and hoping for the best when they go home and do it on their own.” Scherer, Marge. "Educational Leadership:Literacy 2.0:Perspectives / The World at Our Fingertips." ASCD Home . 25 Feb. 2009 <http://www.ascd.org/publications/educational_leadership/mar09/vol66/num06/The_World_at_Our_Fingertips.aspx>.
Our Responsibility Technologies in a balanced role Technology as the tool, media, source, not as the goal. Technology as one of the things we use, do, explore. Technology as an enabler enabling communication, access and more.
