Produced scheduled and spontaneous documents in various formats for architects and administrators who specify K-Flex conveyors in existing and new buildings, ranging from VA Hospitals to Airline Flight Kitchens. Responsible for all marketing, photography, video editing and production, establishing relationships with advertising and print agencies and magazines, design and implement tradeshow booth and perform as company representative to corporate and government officials. Having rejoined the firm in 1991 after several newspaper jobs in Illinois and Arizona, the first thing I proposed for the company was a brochure that was also a board game… K-Flex Systems The game was essentially some “goofy” fun to engage hospital, airline foodservice planners and architects. This interactivity put the K-Flex technology in the mind of the customer when planning their food service or materials handling conveyor concepts.
I set into motion this major advertising campaign not long after the game brochure, and integrated ideas into my design for the company’s tradeshow booth. This advertisement was featured as a double-page spread in the front inside cover of Chef magazine for 6 issues. The resulting exposure resulted in over 20m sales that year.
