PROJECTS HANDLED
Title: Next gen IVI systems on Linux Platform
Period: Jan 2014 - Till Date
Role: Team Leader, Service Abstraction Layer
Description: Linux Yocto image was created to address the next generation IVI systems using
linux libraries. There are 2 POCs running in parallel to build the system from scratch
with different IPC mechanism between HMI and Applications. Middleware was built
around open-source libraries for linux using libraries like pulse-audio, bluez,
festival, gstreamer, etc. Currently, the platform is being built with Genivi component
capabilities.

Role: Bridge Engineer, Team Lead
Description: It aimed at developing a much simpler to access application to overcome
disadvantages in the earlier releases like too many key operations, duplications of
menu & data redundancy.
Title: CI+ V1.3
Period: Mar’11 – Dec’11
Role: Application Feature Leader
Description: DVB Standard introduced an upgrade in CI standards. This TV software was to be
upgraded to facilitate the changes in the requirement from the older version. In the
newer version, the content control was shifted more towards the broadcaster. The
operator profile of CI service provider had to be listed out in scan operation and
application needed logical changes against the conventional flow in scanning.
Recording included restrictions in terms of parental control part of CCV2
implementation.

overcome the drawback (Application Porting) and make the application software

booking, checking train availability, fares and PNR status enquiry.

Description: This Billing application was developed to handle the EDR (Event Data Records)
produced at a switch, for all long distance calls. It works on the EDRs, applies
business rules and creates flat files compatible with each product and passes it on to

Description: EDI is one of the formats that QWEST offers a bill interpretation for business
subscribers. This application can map the data from the Common Feed data file

passed on to the downstream system (GSX). The System was divided into two parts,
a driver to map the info and create an EDI ready file and a Validator to ensure that
the file is ready for dispatch.
