The presentation introduced Formotus, a mobile forms solution. Formotus allows users to design complex business forms that can be used like mobile apps, working both online and offline. It uses the popular InfoPath form designer and aims to replace InfoPath as the new XML cloud designer. Formotus is working with Microsoft on the InfoPath transition and its designer will support both InfoPath and the new Formotus forms service. Demos showed how forms can be themed, simplified, enriched with controls, and reengineered to function more like mobile apps when mobilized.
To help teams be more productive, we need to change the way we think about meetings. Today, a meeting is typically treated as a stand-alone event, and the phone and video conferencing tools people use are designed to support that event.
What if we approached meetings in a more connected way – not as discrete events, but as a series of connected gatherings that drive collaborative progress? This approach is at the heart of how we built the meeting experience in Microsoft Teams.
We built Microsoft Teams to help people meet smarter. Stay focused. And achieve more.

One of the key benefits of Office 365 is that Microsoft has built Office 365 plans to meet the needs of many different customer types, and even different user types within the same organization. Here is a breakdown of what plans families are available within Office 365.
<click>
For Small and Medium sized customers, three of the plan families are most commonly purchased – Office 365 Small Business, Midsize Business and Enterprise.
[momentum] You’ve told us we can do even better.
Office 365 has delivered on the promise of the cloud – as a solution that is continuously up to date and improving. Microsoft has delivered hundreds of updates to the service since launch…including new features and services as well as platform updates. (See Appendix for slide with details).
One thing that hasn’t changed as quickly or as drastically in that time has been our SKU lineup – and this has been intentional, as changes to plans can be disruptive, if not executed correctly.
At the original launch of Office 365 in June 2011, we delivered a simple, low cost plan for SMBs, called Small Business. In Feb 2013, we launched Office 365 Midsize Business and Small Business Premium plans to help further address the SMB segment of the market, providing plans that combined the core Office 365 services with the full Office desktop applications.
These plans have been selling well. Microsoft has been actively soliciting feedback from customers and partners on how to improve. We’ve heard these things….[see speech bubbles on slide]
BE: google compete, high cap, low price
Core plans for SMBs – (why E4, Kiosk, and all standalones are not listed).
Advanced needs: Encryption, EOA, RMS, DLP, Enterprise voice, Oslo, video content management, BI tools in Excel, Office controls - Group Policy, Telemetry, Update Controls, Shared Computer Activation (RDS)
Transitions:
At renewal/manually – all supported
Switch plans – current core scenarios supported at 10/1, adding more as we go. Working on downgrades…but no dates to share right now for that.
Note – process is same for customers who have bought from an partner selling through Advisor model and customers who have purchased on Office365.com.
There is no use for Office on all your devices if you can’t get to your documents.
With Office 365, your documents are saved to the cloud by default so they are automatically backed up. You now have a “drive” in the cloud called SkyDrive Pro for documents that you are managing and working on but can also share with others (see screenshot, point to the SkyDrive Pro link at the top right bar)
Because everything is saved to the cloud, when you sign in to Office from any browser, you will always have the latest version of your documents follow you. See this list of your latest documents (point to the screenshot on the left). This also goes for settings like your personal dictionary and custom templates.
When your documents are saved in the cloud, you can also sync (point to the sync button on the top right) these files to your laptop or mobile devices so you can still access and work on them when you are offline. It will automatically re-sync it back to the cloud when you have your connection back.
So what about when you don’t have your devices with you?
Now you can use Office even when you are away from your devices. You can stream Office to any Windows 7 or Windows 8 machine and this could be a machine in a hotel foyer, for example, or at your parents' place where you are staying for the weekend.
Open the browser of that PC, log into Office, and click on “use Office on Demand” [Click], which will give you the choice to select the Office application you want to stream down [second click].
In just a matter of a couple of minutes, the application will stream down to the PC and you will have the rich Office experience to work on your documents.
Office doesn’t need to be installed on that machine or it’ll run side by side with an older version. You don’t even need to have administrative rights on the PC to do this
Once saved, the documents are stored in SkyDrive and the Office application is removed from the PC, leaving no traces of it on the device.
Office on Demand is just one way of using Office when you are away from the device. If you just need to make a quick edit or you are on a non-Windows machine, you can simply open the documents in a browser, using Office Web Apps.
Office Web Apps have now improved to provide you with the full-feature experience in your web browser so you can create new documents or edit using your favourite browser.

With the new and improved Web Apps, you get more of the same ribbon experience that you are familiar with in the rich application. And more options will be added as we continue to make additions in the upcoming releases.

With the choice of the rich Office experience with Office On Demand as well as the improved Office Web Apps, users get the best productivity experience when they are away from their personal computers.
With the new Office 365 team sites and Site Mailboxes, you can manage a project very easily right from within Outlook. Subscribe to one of the Site Mailboxes for a given project and it shows up as a separate mailbox in the Outlook navigation window. This happens for all members of the team that are invited to join by the Site Mailbox creator. Once visible, you can drag and drop any email from the personal mailbox to the team mailbox and the mail will be accessible by the entire team.
[Click]
You can also manage the documents related to the project from within Outlook. Click the Shared Documents folder under the team mailbox and you will see all the documents that are shared by the team related to this project. Drag any document from the email attachment to here or from the desktop and it is uploaded to SharePoint for the entire team to consume.
[Click]
In addition to managing emails and documents, you can edit the project tasks list on SharePoint and get a quick view at the progress of the project from the Team Site page.
All these enhancements are based on customer feedback to help you collaborate on projects easily.
In addition to making it easy to share documents and emails with a pre-set team structure, you also want to do ad-hoc sharing and also sharing with external partners or customers.
With SkyDrive Pro or any other document library within SharePoint Online, you can easily share documents from the preview pane. This preview pane helps ensure it is the right file you want to share.

Or, you can also easily share documents from within each of the Office applications by clicking share.
