  1. Design the Tech Wave…Then Ride It: Google SketchUp. Good morning and thanks for joining me today. My name Ryan Evans and I’m a technology teacher with the Wanaque School system. For the next hour or so we’re going to discover how to use Google SketchUp in the classroom.
  2. Google SketchUp is software that users can use to create 3D models of anything they wish.

SketchUp can be an effective tool in the classroom because it:Easily teaches kids to construct 3D models of building, tress, cars and most anything elseIt can be used in conjunctuon with Google Earth and the 3D warehouseIt is hands-on approach to understanding area and volumeIt can be applied to a variety of subject areasIt allows users to visualize geometry and other mathematical conceptsUsers can create models to learn about architecture, and design many other objectsIt can be used to participate community development projectsIt’s FunIt’s Free

In art students can create models of architectureIn geography classes, students can design structures and input them into Google Earth or even design landformsLanguage Arts students can use it with Google Lit Trips by designing architecture, structures, and other objects of literary works that are been read.Math scholars can use creations to study, area, perimeter, volume, measurements, and more.
