  • 1. The head writer of “Saturday Night Live” performed at the Lied Center of Kansas last night. The Special Events Committee within Student Union Activities brought Colin Jost, who is also the host of Weekend Update, to campus. He performed a hilarious hour-­‐long comedic set and had the entire crowd laughing from start to finish. “It couldn’t have asked for a better show,” said Jaclyn Carpenter the coordinator of special events. He was funny, so nice to work with, and it didn’t hurt that he is pretty good looking.” Students and adults alike were all excited to see the show. Michelle Compton, one of the advisors for Student Union Activities was excited to see Jost. “This was a great event because it was appealing university wide. Although the majority of the audience was students, I saw a good amount of my peers in the audience as well.” A crowd started to build about an hour before the show with the hopes of getting the best seats. “I couldn’t believe that Colin Jost was going to be performing on campus,” freshman Jamie Stone said. “I watch “Saturday Night Live” every week. He was on my TV five days ago and today I was four feet away from him.” Stone said. If you were unable to attend the show you can see Jost live every Saturday on “Saturday Night Live”.
