Established on July 1, 2011
Recently transitioned from operating under the
Arizona Department of Commerce Energy Office [aka
Arizona Commerce Authority Energy Office]
(1985 – 2011)
Prior to that, operated within the Governor’s Office of
Economic Planning & Development. Office originally
created in 1973 to address gasoline fuel shortage.

Arizona
Arizona is now 3rd in solar jobs in 2011, up from 8th
in 2010* (Oct. 17)
As a result of Arizona’s Renewable Energy Tax
Incentive, 10 companies have relocated or expanded
operations in Arizona creating more than 2,300 jobs &
more than $1B in capital investment**
Recent announcements include Clear Energy
(Oct. 24) and Saint-Gobain (Sept. 20)

- 6. Arizona’s Renewable
Energy Standard
Requires 15% of retail power production come from
renewable sources by 2025.
Arizona’s solar installations grew by 250 percent in
2010, ranking it fourth in the U.S. according to the
Solar Energy Industries Association.

Passed - 2009; Amended - 2010; Retroactive to Sept. 30, 2009
Encourage renewable energy business investment to
produce high quality employment opportunities &
enhance Arizona’s position as a center for production &
use of renewable energy products.
Provides tax incentives to companies in
solar, wind, geothermal & other renewable energy
industries who expand or locate in Arizona.
Two benefits; up to a 10% refundable income tax credit
& up to a 75% reduction on real & personal property
taxes.

maintenance & upkeep.

kilowatt-hour output for 20

Each panel has a rated-output of 270 watts.
Purchase panels in full, half- or quarter-size increments.
Prices are:

Trico adds $140,042 to complete this $1M project
More than 800 panels for this project were manufactured
at the Solon Corporation in Tucson, AZ
Energy Office staff from the State of Sonora in Mexico will
