Mailchimp
➔ MailChimp is a simple Email Marketing Software
(EMS) which gives a number of easy options for
designing, sending and saving email templates.
➔ It is a bulk email service that send campaigns to
multiple recipients at once, usually for marketing
purposes.
➔ We create lists in MailChimp and send campaigns
to our confirmed subscribers
Why Mailchimp ?
➔ More than 14 million people and businesses use
MailChimp to send 1 billion emails every day.
➔ Easy to use and packed with hundreds of features.
➔ Provide Advanced analytics.
➔ Robust mobile functionality.
WS Phase - 1
Mandrill
➔ Mandrill, a transactional email platform built by
MailChimp, is a powerful delivery service that can
be used for personalized, one-to-one e-
commerce emails, and automated transactional
emails.
➔ Contact lists and other recipient information can't
be stored in Mandrill. Instead, this data is managed
in your own database or application, and passed to
Mandrill in your API request or SMTP message
when the transactional email is triggered.
What are transactional mails?
➔ Transactional email services send email to one
recipient, triggered by the recipient's action or
inaction.
➔ Examples include password reminder emails,
purchase confirmations and receipts, and
personalized product notifications.
Why Mandrill ?
➔ Globally distributed infrastructure
➔ Multiple domains per account
➔ In-depth analytics
➔ Templates and dynamic content
➔ Amazing email tracking facilities.
