Definition of collaboration. Especially like the part about cooperating with an enemy force.

Avoid wasting time with email tag when trying to schedule a meeting. When is Good is web based and NeedToMeet is email based. Both have options to create free accounts for more features.
Shared screen with my mom in Florida and I was even able to control her computer to fix something. Cross platform and has ability to take control of other person’s screen.

Steven Anderson couldn’t make it to conference due to weather in NC. He conducted his session via a Google Hangout.
Use this for a Grandparent’s day activity. Students have pictures send phone number to the Narrable to grandparent to tell a story to attach to picture (cannot do this in new version). Especially cool for kids who don’t have grandparents close by. This is my Dad’s Narrable about 2 minutes. Downside is you have to screen capture. Can’t download.

Great resource for curating web content. Access tagged sites anywhere. Can subscribe to interest groups to get lists of what others are saving to diigo. Many more tools available. My use is just the tip of the iceberg.
Nice texting tool where texting service isn’t required. .99 cents a year after first year. Can do group texts.
Send text to go right at the bell. First thing kids check is their phone.

There are many pre-made educational templates. Any document can become a template that is then shared to the class.
Create posters, newsletters, brochures.
I was in across the country a conference and didn’t want my students to miss out on work so I set up this prompt. I was waiting for the opening keynote and my email started going crazy with questions. We problem solved 2500 miles apart in real time.
Platform for collaboration. Wikispaces classroom is free for teachers. Teachers can create projects and assign teams to work on the project. There are now built in monitoring and assessment tools as well.
This presentation was created in Powerpoint 2013, saved to my OneDrive and shared with Brett. This gave us the ability to work on it simultaneously from different locations.
One Note can be used for sharing class notes, or accessing class notes that are shared out by the teacher. It is notetaking on steroids. Notebooks are like the tabbed binders in your classroom. They are shareable and searchable (even handwriting).
This was a second grade project in Google Sheets. Students entered in their favorites simultaneously. Then they each copied and pasted the pet words into Tagxedo. Quick way to get information.
Fourth graders used this spreadsheet to brainstorm weather words for each letter of the alphabet. Then, in teams they created a Weather ABC book. They used Tech4Learning’s Pixie to work in teams of 6 to produce a Weather ABC book with narration and images. This is then published online.
Disconnects frequently unless you change security settings when signed in. It is a quick way to share a writing pad without any logging in or signing up.
Quick way to share checklists in real time. It can be for groceries or even for meeting agendas.
Google and One Drives have more collaborative features than Dropbox. Great way to share access to files.
Quick way to get files to different people without “keeping” it somewhere.
The Space Race activity allows teams to compete.
Padlet can also be used as document sharing via the Internet. Anything digital can be uploaded to Padlet. Has drag and drop functionality. Great way to host student work or place to put resources for teachers. We had one running live during a recent Canvas training.
Great way to have a “back channel” for discussion during an activity.
You can get a transcript to print out to save or make into a Tagxedo to see what topics stand out. Good for 1 year.
Easy and free LMS. There are built in, easy to use, video conferencing, discussion, and peer review tools.
