There are different types of looms used for weaving fabric including hand looms, power looms, shuttle looms, and shuttleless looms. Hand looms are the oldest method and produce specialized fabrics slowly, while power looms can be used for commercial manufacturing. Plain weave is the simplest weaving interlacing where the warp threads alternate over and under the weft threads to produce the base fabric structure.
