SkillTag
• What if students could “skilltag” the courses they
took to reflect the skills (hard or soft) that they
believe they learned in courses?
• What if students could see these skilltags before
they registered for courses and reflect them on their
transcripts / resumes?
• What if faculty could tag the learning outcomes they
believe that their courses produced?
SkillTag
• SkillTag was a project that won during our recent
hackathon (SkillHack: Provost’s Challenge)
• Project is being developed by h.innovation – Georgetown’s
in-house innovation incubator
• Project is being mentored by the Office of the Provost
(Chief Academic Officer) and Office of the CIO (Chief
Information Officer) as part of the Future(s) Initiative
• Strategic Benefits: Engagement with university leaders
and resources (be it students or faculty)
• Exposure (on a big platform) if project is successful
• Potential for other collaborations on SkillHack and Future(s)
projects
