What is e-PIMS?
• The database of buildings
and land owned, controlled or
used by UK central
government departments and
their sponsored bodies.
• Data is currently owned by
individual departments and
‘regulated’ through Service
Level Agreements.
• e-PIMS is available over the
Internet.

• Standardised and consistent
data capture
• Detailed property searching
and mapping
• Co-ordinated estate planning
• Reporting on the central and
local estate
• Vacant land and property
search
• Annual Benchmarking
• Microstratgey BI tool

e-PIMS – “The Future”
• Provision of key management information to enable planning,
delivery and performance reporting for the Government Estate
Strategy across the whole public estate.
• The single version of the truth in relation to all Government Property
and Land assets.
• Ministers, Treasury, Senior Responsible Officers for Estates, trust
that the benchmarking and forward looking KPI’s e-PIMS provides
inform future property acquisitions and disposals will:
– Deliver value for money for the public purse.
– Improve service delivery to the public
– Increase the productivity of our staff
• The ePIMS service and the guidance it provides will meet or exceed
the accuracy and intelligence provided by private sector advisors
and systems.

platform that supports e-PIMS users in solving their
problems using the installed geography.
