This webinar discusses embedded business intelligence (BI) and how it differs from traditional BI applications. Embedded BI involves integrating analytics capabilities directly into operational applications to provide insights during business processes. It allows various types of centralized and decentralized data to be combined. Embedded BI can be integrated into applications either through front-end interfaces or back-end application programming interfaces. It also enables more self-service capabilities for end users to perform ad hoc analysis and data visualization within applications. The webinar explores the different BI needs of small and medium-sized businesses compared to large enterprises, and provides an overview of the mid-market landscape for embedded BI solutions.

Featured Speakers Lyndsay Wise, Research Director, EMA Lyndsay joined EMA in 2015 as research director for business intelligence (BI) and data warehousing, focusing on data integration, data governance, cloud technologies, data visualization, analytics, and collaboration. She has over 10 years experience in software research, BI consulting, and strategy development, specializing in software evaluation and best-fit solution selection. Dean Yao, Director of Marketing, JReport Dean brings over 10 years of experience in software marketing and product management. Previously, Dean was a senior product manager at cloud computing startup Nimbula (acquired by Oracle), where he focused on technical best practices, competitive marketing, and product strategy. Dean was also in technical marketing at VMware, specializing in virtualization clustering and resource management products. He started his career in hardware virtualization research at Intel Research Labs.
