- 7. That is a suck.
• Takes hours to create
• May skip something a client forgets.
Every. Single. Time.
• Repeated explanations of how to do something
- 9. Method 1: In an EE template
• The videos are viewable on the regular website
• Restrict the template to logged in Admins
- 15. Method 2: Accessory
• Exists in the Control Panel
• New to EE 2.x
• Tutorials readily available (always by the thing
they’re having trouble with)
- 19. Record the screencast
• Options: Screenr, ScreenToaster, Screenflick
• Web apps are easiest to use, but have drawbacks:
privacy & concern over their longevity
• Recording & hosting your own is better IMHO,
but requires a bit more work (file conversion mostly)
• I use Screenflick
• Upload the video file via FTP
- 23. Further Information
• Will have an article on this topic posted in the next
week to Design Litmus blog
• Will also post: code samples & EE accessory
