This session dove into how I am using these AI mechanisms to support a large Information Development team, including translators. I show the ways my colleagues are using ChatGPT to increase productivity, speed up content migrations, improve content quality, plus more. I’ll touched on the plan to use ChatGPT to add additional automation.

Privacy concerns and copyright Do your research. There’s so much info out there and the gripehype changes daily. There is an option to turn off chat history, which disables OpenAPI from learning. You determine when OpenApI learns from your chats. OpenAI is working on a new ChatGPT business subscription. Microsoft may offer a private ChatGTP to businesses.
Items that make you go hum Hollywood writer’s strike – They want guarantees that generative AI doesn’t learn their “old” scripts and write new shows AI generated books – Polluting Amazon kindle self-publishing platform and scientific books are full of inaccuracies AI generated content (websites and online recipes) – Polluting the Internet so it becomes harder and harder to know what is correct information
Facts Currently, all AI generated content must be validated by a human Humans like human interaction and not bot interaction Generative AI does make some work more efficient Generative AI can do localized learning so that you feed it only “quality” content

What our TMS vendor says Increases efficiency when used correctly Better and more human like than what we thought possible Language coverage is larger than MT solutions and MT solutions can be trained, but it’s only a matter of time before MT is behind ChatGPT MIT did an AI study of content creation and efficiency - Look that up ChatGPT is providing value to our lives as content creators and helps us do a better job We have seen real business value from ChatGPT in the last 6 months The localized content is ready in a fraction of the time
