Platform etc.
• Rather than maintaining local servers or data centers, companies can leverage the
infrastructure of a cloud provider to access technology services on demand via the internet.
This allows for more flexibility and cost savings.
• Some key characteristics of cloud computing include on-demand self-service, broad network
access, resource pooling, rapid elasticity and measured service. Companies only pay for the
cloud services they use, scaling services up or down as needed.
