ABOUT ME
+ Currently getting my Master’s
degree in curriculum and instruction
+ Fifth year teaching
+ My mom was a preschool teacher
+ I have my BA in child development
+ I have three sisters, a niece, and a nephew
We will be using a STEAM approach this year,
which means most of our daily activities will be
built on incorporated lessons including science,
technology, engineering, art, and math. This
approach will support students as they develop
their critical thinking skills and prepare to be
21st Century, Global Citizens.
CODE.ORG
We will be using this website among many others to promote critical
thinking skills.
There is currently a shortage of software developers in the job
market.
Learning to code will help students tackle those jobs
of the ‘future’ that are hiring, today!
Learning objective:
 Students will apply critical thinking skills to advance through
Code.org
 Lessons include: Ramp Up, Sprites, Digital Citizenship,
Impacts of Computing, Nested Loops, Functions, Project
