Urban Engines provides a digital replica of public transport systems that brings together various data sources to create a comprehensive understanding. This includes ticketing data, passenger counts, vehicle telemetry, revenue data, and survey results. The digital replica acts as a simulator to test scenarios in a data-driven environment. The latest version of Cube software features enhancements such as support for 64-bit applications, license borrowing capabilities, ArcGIS version 10.4 support, and improved network editing and visualization tools for public transport analysis. It also includes new functionality for outputs, urban traffic analysis, and accessibility measures.

Cube 6.4: Latest Updates Overview  Cube updated from 32-bit to 64-bit applications. This means more stability, virtually unlimited memory and extreme levels of precision…and SPEED. License  Ability to borrow (for a period of time) seats from a floating license.  Ability to re-host licenses (Deactivate and re-activate on a different machine).  Ability to activate licenses through proxy server.  New functionality to view current users checking out seats on a floating license. ArcGIS Support  Cube 6.4.2 to include support for ArcGIS version 10.4 Network Editing and Visualization  A powerful way to search, sort, filter and organize network attributes inside the network window, is included. Networks with hundreds of attributes can be easily searched and filtered. Voyager Public Transport (PT)  New FORMAT keywords to output text and CSV files for STOP2STOP data.
Open Matrix Format (OMX) Img. 1 – Exporting 12 .MAT matrix tables to CSV Img. 2 – Exporting 12 .MAT matrix tables to OMX Citilabs created new documentation and tools for the OMX process and incorporated a new internal format into Cube in order to read and write directly to OMX format. The end result is not only a time and disk space saving (when compared to CSV) but it reduces complexity and improves aesthetics of a Cube model due to the reduction of processing CSV files separately.
Cloud Computing Speed Enhancements & Scalability Benefits  Both products offer the ability to access many cores and decrease model run-times,  as well as the capability to run multiple scenarios in parallel and scale productivity.  Each product also offers unique benefits for specific applications: AWS Market Place …enables you to: • Choose your IT infrastructure • Minimize costs spent on IT equipment • “Rent” access to the Cube suite • Utilize tools like Cube Analyst, Avenue • and Cluster at a low monthly cost • Learn more directly through Amazon Cube Cloud …enables you to: • Implement models hosted online • Regulate shared material with a variety of users • Minimize costs spent on IT equipment • View/create/share scenarios, maps, charts online • Protect the integrity of the model and data http://www.citilabs.com/software/cube/cube-cloud/
U-turns and Free left/right-turns U-turns at Signalized Intersections  Compute an HCM like saturation flow adjustment factor for U-turns  New Voyager Highway PARAMETER key words: AllowAllUTurns, AllowUTurns  Intersection Data Editor key words for allowing, banning and giving exclusive rights for U-turns. Free Right/Left Turn Movement  Free right turns on right drive and free left for left drive  Allowance for vehicle length with entry/exit lane distance for calculating impact on capacity.
New Maps Ribbon for GIS  Options for adding layers to the GIS Window using predefined templates.  These templates allow you to leverage sets of predefined symbology that include scaling, transparency, detail hiding etc.  Allows you to define your own class breaks.  Included with the initial 35 templates are some fresh ideas for displaying Public Transport Cube GIS: Maps ribbon
Public Transport Crowding New Reporting for Public Transport Crowding  Outputs the Relative Differences between consecutive iterations (RDIFF).  Calculates the Root Mean Square Error between consecutive crowding iterations (RMSE).  Option to output stop-to-stop analysis results at each iteration (STOP2STOPO).  Possibility to list evaluated I-J routes by iteration (REPORTIJ and TRACEIJ)
