What is listening?:
• “listening is a process of receiving and reacting to
the message received from communication
sender.”
• The receiver should carefully listen to the feel the
pulse of sender,to understand more and
reaction,which allows freedom of expression to
speakers.
• Different situation require different of listening.

• Relationship listening
• Informative listening
• With care and criticism listening
• Appreciative listening

Relationship listening:
• The purpose of relationsahip listening is either to help
an individual or to improve the relation ship among
people.
• Therapeutic listening is special type of relationship
listening.
• Therapeutic listening:
• Therapeutic listening brings to mind those situation
where consellors,medical personals,or other can be
used when you listen to friend or acquaintance and
allow them to “get things of that chest.”
Relationship listening:
Informative listennig:
• Informative listening is known in which we giv e to
the siution where the listeners primary concern is
to understand the message.
• Informative listening is done for get the
imformation in different ways. Like wise listening in
metting of compeny ,listening in class room.
• at time careful informative listening is crucial .at
other time careless listening reason in only
aggression or misunderstanding.

• Knowing these variables can help

democracy.

important.

thinking that accompanies it.
Appreciative listening:
• Appreciative lostening includes listening to music
for enjoyment, two speakers beacuse you like their
style, in theaters, television ,radio or films.
• It response of listener, not the source of message,
that defines this types of listening.
• Which provides appreciative listening for one
person may provide something else other.

• This type of listening is final type of listening.
• It can be the most important type, because it is
basic of other for.
• Because of this types of listening we can sensing
impact of certain response, relation listening can be
ensolidated.
• By being sensitive to change the speaker’s rate,
volume, force, pitch, and meanig of difference in
meaning.
Sympathic listening:
• In this types of listening we care about the other
person and show these concern in the way we
colse attention and express our sorrow their event
vand happiness at that joys.
Empathic listening:
• This types of listening include paying attention to
other person with empathy.
• An excellent techniqe to help one to do this is
called active listening whereby you repeat back to
person what you think she or he said to make
certain you understand.
• Empathy is not sympathy.
• Sympathy is feeling for someone, empathy is feeling
as someone.
