• Robert Noyce, founder of Intel, was not happy about the ‘east
coast’ style of running corporation. He believed employees
should share the success of the company.
• East-coast social hierarchical corporate structure did not work

launch product fast to test the growing market. (however, they
might not be aware of that it’s in a growing market)

“傍晚6:30,聖荷⻄西的天空已經全暗,晚上7點⼀一到,⼀一個約莫20坪
⼤大的空間裡,擠滿了60幾位在舊⾦金⼭山灣區⽣生活台灣⼈人。多數是20-30
歲的年輕⾯面孔。在台灣創業圈⼜又重新燃起⼀一股熱潮之際,我在美國
也看到了斷層多年的台灣⼈人在矽⾕谷重新群聚、讓世界記得的決⼼心。”

台灣⼈人才要⾯面向國際市場創業,在美國創業遇到的難題有哪些?
• 第⼀一代移⺠民(american dream),想留在矽⾕谷⻑⾧長期發展
• ⼯工作⾝身分問題 (from student visa to H1B, then green card)
• 家庭負擔 (have a stable life, buy a house)
• 創業時,資訊獲得不對稱

很多想法缺乏獨特性,已經輸在起跑點上

看不到競爭者,或無法從競爭者中區分⾃自⼰己

與使⽤用者距離太遠,增加產品不確定性
• 想創業的都想⾃自⼰己當⽼老闆,⼀一夫當關
