Adventures in Wonderland:an interactive tour of 6 impossible thing-Es
@TheCat“Could you tell me please, which way I ought to go from here?”@Alice “That depends a good deal on where you want to get to” #growingup
“So many out of the way things had happened lately that Alice had begun to think that very few things indeed were impossible.”
Why we ‘believe’ in exploring thing-Es!The online world is students’ context (and ours)Technology is part of learning, life & work
Learning with technology might be good for us…“Those students who had more positive attitudes to technology were more likely to adopt a deep approach to studying, more likely to adopt a strategic approach to studying and less likely to adopt a surface approach to studying”C. Colwell 2011
Curiouser and curiouser...RT @Sheila Keegan “It may be that maintaining awareness of our own responses to technology and keeping an open mind are the best starting points” #AMSRS
and even curiouser...@Susan Greenfield “It is hard to see how living this way on a daily basis will not result in brains, or rather minds, different from those of previous generations”
Why Alice in Wonderland? It’s all very deep...
Adventures first... explanations take such a dreadful time. @The Gryphon

Editor's Notes

  1. Easy to set upGreat for teachers on different shifts, Part time or in different locations
  2. Intro: As we us technology more and more the importance of ‘detch experiences’ become more important. Gen Y and Gen Z want ‘Authentic, geununie learning experiences on and off line. Making the face2 face experience enjoyable and engaging is more important. In other industries this can be seen with the surviving book stores who are focusing the experience of being in the shop rather than the products to compete with online. For our students, making lessons interestingActivity:Facebook warmerResource: Digital diet – when it all gets too much
  3. Makes the transformation more engaging and kinaethetic – that is all!
