Proven Impact

O3b mPOWER is SES’s second-generation MEO constellation. It is built on the proven track record of SES’s current O3b constellation. The O3b system has been delivering communications services since 2014 to customers operating in nearly 50 countries today.

Our Customers

The O3b mPOWER system is capable of delivering reliable connectivity services with high throughput, ranging from tens of Mbps to multiple gigabits per second to mobile network operators, cruises, energy companies, as well as governments and institutions across the world.

SES has partnered with teleport providers in different regions to host as many as eight O3b mPOWER ground stations across the world (some co-located with Microsoft’s Azure data centres). Depending on our customers’ needs, more gateways can also be built.

Software
Together with partners such as Amdocs, Amartus and Amphinicy Technologies, we developed a cutting-edge software that spans across O3b mPOWER’s infrastructure to unlock the system’s full potential and brings new levels of flexibility, automation and frequency allocation depending on our customer’s needs.
