Kevin Maher Times (UK) The hook, this time, is that debut feature director Chris Nash uses some formal arthouse devices to reframe the horror movie antics we’ve repeatedly witnessed... Rated: 1/5 Jul 12, 2024 Full Review Tim Robey Daily Telegraph (UK) This is the trouble with nihilism as a foundation for horror: it can’t quicken the pulse, drum up scares, or elicit any fruitful response from the viewer at all. Rated: 2/5 Jul 11, 2024 Full Review Catherine Bray Guardian If you’re looking to get your nerves actively shredded, you might have to seek out other men in masks to accept that particular mission. But from a horror fan’s point of view, this is an absolutely fascinating experiment with form. Rated: 4/5 Jul 10, 2024 Full Review Chuck Bowen Style Weekly (Richmond, VA) I confess to not knowing what’s meant to be gleaned from disconnecting a visceral genre so decisively from its means of generating excitement... Jul 10, 2024 Full Review Rory Doherty Flicks (AU, NZ, UK) It’s not a fully realised deconstruction of slasher films, but it is an effective and electric subversion of them, repositioning the barbaric killer’s violence and voyeurism as something inevitable, absurd, and sometimes melancholy. Jul 10, 2024 Full Review Dallas King Flick Feast Some vicious and memorable kills aside, the end result is a fascinating but ultimately failed experiment in the horror genre. Aaron Bacchus The premise is absolutely gold. First person POV is something unique in this genre and was executed well. Slow at times with little dialog but hits when it needs to. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/07/24 Full Review Marshall M Ohhhh I loved this film. Slashers are my fav subgenre of horror and the kills in this were so gross and traumatizing, especially that one. Go see this strictly for the kills if you're a slasher hater. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/04/24 Full Review David My friend and I watched it. My friend slept through half of it. I’d say 70% of the movie was him walking. But the other 30% were more than worth it. He killed people very creatively. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/23/24 Full Review punchmadeAyE Movie is trash acting is bad , practically just walking through out the whole movie and plot is wack Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 06/17/24 Full Review Logan a very unique yet familiar slasher movie and a great time for fans of things like Friday the 13th Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/15/24 Full Review Taylor B If you drained all the wit & charm from a Hatchet movie, you'd be left with In a Violent Nature. Good practical effects, but that's it. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 06/14/24 Full Review Read all reviews
