The translation module is laggy with long articles and I prefer working on my own user page. If I machine translate an entire article I cannot move it to my page because there's too much unchanged text. Could this be made possible?
Talk:Content translation
I have WIP translation for the Europa 2, but unfortunately I can not publish the site, because of some "Lack of permission."

Hi, Roman Tička!
Every Wiki have some rules - English Wiki too. Read this rules
BW
Hello Roman Tička,
You can only publish a translation on the English Wikipedia if you are an extended confirmed editor. You can learn more about this restriction on this page.
Thank you!
Oh, so I need to edit english posts to gain this access? I have been registered here for quite some time now, but I have only translated mostly mine locall stuff :D
You can still publish your translation as a draft and request a review of it at en:WP:AFC.
ok, thanks!
The Chechen language has been added to Google Translator, and it translates very well. Could you add to "Content translation"?
I agree, I liked the translation and support it!
great idea, translates very well, I'm all for it!
I support. This will greatly help the translation, since Wikipedia has very precise definitions.
Thank you all, for your feedback. Google has not updated these new languages in the Google translate API.
@UOzurumba (WMF), Thank you for your answer! Please tell me where and how can I find out when Google will update?
Unfortunately, there is no accessible and easy way for you to find out when Google will update their API. However, there is a ticket already for this work.
When reading articles and clicking the drop down menu for language selection, the "missing in x language and more" option always pops up at the top of the list after 1 second, this makes the list shift downwards and I always misclick when I wish to read in a different language. Please change it so that it doesn't pop up at the top. Pop at the bottom, always save space at the top and put a placeholder, move to the side, I don't care, just don't make the list shift.
I have the same problem
Turns out this was reported almost a year ago, Phab:T344028, a proper fix is quite necessary.
@Sohryu Asuka Langley Not Shikinami @Baronedimare Hello, you can use this css on your global.css to mitigate this problem.
Anyone else has been having trouble saving their translations?

I have used this tool once for English to Chinese translation, and noticed a small problem. In English you would use italic for things like movie name, book name, that sort of stuff, and the italic is automatically applied to the translated Chinese text. The problem is that we don't do that in Chinese, in fact we very very rarely use italic. I suggest removing all text formatting by default (obviously links can stay), providing an option to "translate without formatting", provide a toggle in settings, or disable certain automatic formatting for certain languages (like disable auto italic for Chinese).
Hello @Sohryu Asuka Langley Not Shikinami,
I have filed a bug report, and this will soon be fixed. Thank you for reporting this and for your patience.
Best regards.
Thank you, also is there a way to raise awareness for the issue discussed here? It causes quite some inconvenience and would discourage users from enabling the content translation feature, as the issue can be "solved" by turning the feature off.
There is an issue while I am trying to publish my translation of "Clair de Lune" article from English to Kazakh languages. The following message hit whenever I am trying to publish.
I use Microsoft Edge Browser, and I do not use "Google Translate" instead "Copy Original Content" as method. I have translated whole page to 100%. There is no significant changes into text, simple translation.
Following issue regarding to browser console:
Mismatch in restored translation has progress. Saved progress was: {"any":1,"mt":0.84,"human":0.16000000000000003}
I have tried to change methods of translation, but it didn't help.
Otherwise translation is really good made by me. What can I do?
I haven't been able to post my translation. When I refreshed the page, it had not been saved.
I cannot publish pages that i translated to farsi(persian). I always got autotranslate error. even in scientific subjects
"You cannot post translations, this wiki is restricted to more experienced editors posting translations".
I got this message after trying to post a translated article in Chinese.
I have already posted it in Japanese; who knows why I can't post it in Chinese?
I would appreciate any feedback.
Thank you!
These seem to be some local restrictions that were imposed on zhwiki (cf. https://zh.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:滥用日志&wpSearchUser=Rich+KB). Maybe @Xiplus can provide a more detailed explanation.
Thank you so much!!!
Seems like it is. The situation is a bit more clear but at the same time became complicated. I will try to find the way how to solve this issue.
@1234qwer1234qwer4 Thank you a lot for your help !
@Rich KB: I have modified the filter to ignore CX edits. Try again.
Thank you so much!!!
