Lofred Madzou serves as the Director of Strategy and Business Development at Truera – a leading startup in the AI observability space offering tools to test, debug, and monitor predictive and generative AI models. He has led their growth efforts until a successful acquisition by Snowflake in May 2024.
During this time, he has worked with AI leaders across financial services, tech, and retail industries to help them deploy trustworthy AI systems at scale through robust testing and monitoring capabilities. This experience has further solidified his position as an industry thought leader in the field of responsible AI.
Before joining Truera, Lofred served as an AI Lead at the World Economic Forum (WEF), where he supported Fortune 500 companies across jurisdictions in their implementation of responsible AI tools and processes. He also advised various EU and Asia-Pacific governments on AI regulation.
Prior to his work at the WEF, Lofred held the position of Technology Policy Officer at Conseil national du numerique (a think tank advising the French Government on tech policy issues), where he co-drafted the French National AI Strategy.
In January 2021, he was appointed research associate at the Oxford Internet Institute, where he investigated various approaches and methods to audit AI systems.
Finally, Lofred holds a Master’s degree in Data Science and Philosophy from the University of Oxford.
