826 Valencia is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting under-resourced students with their creative and expository writing skills and to helping teachers inspire their students to write. Between 2021 and 2022, the organization served over 5,600 students and had over 700 active volunteers. 826 Valencia's top four goals are to: ⭐ Transform students’ relationships to writing, building their confidence and pride ⭐ Provide individualized attention and support, so students can make great leaps in learning ⭐ Partner with under-resourced schools and communities, providing free services to those who would not otherwise have access ⭐ Cultivate wonder, inspiring imagination and creativity in all of their spaces and programs 826 Valencia is a 2023 Yelp Foundation grantee.
