Quiddity's STEM program is coming to a close this year, with the students' final presentations scheduled for next week. The program was made possible thanks to the amazing mentors who worked with the students throughout the year. Here are some highlights from the latest couple of sessions: - The students had the opportunity to ride in an autonomous vehicle, thanks to Chase Widener, E.I.T. - They learned about the history of traffic technology (Chase Widener, E.I.T.) and about construction in commercial real estate, thanks to Jonathan Chiou and Maggie Hernandez. - They were provided with mentors who regulalry attended and gave guidance to the students including Alejandro Colom, Shannon Watson, P.E, and Greg Oetker. Our heartfelt thanks to all the mentors who shared their time and expertise with the students. We wish the students all the best for their final presentations next week. #QuidditySTEM #STEMeducation

The Quiddity Foundation had the honor of hosting Klein Collins High School's Job Shadow Day through Junior Achievement! This national campaign offers students unique perspectives on academics through hands-on learning and a one-day mentoring experience by engaging in a business orientation, job site tours, employee shadowing, and workplace activities. The initiative's goal is to help students recognize the connections between academics and future career paths, enhance networking skills, cultivate professional communication & leadership abilities, and gain valuable insights into a variety of careers. We extend our sincere gratitude for the opportunity and are excited to continue supporting this vital effort in the future!

We have an incredible opportunity to embody one of our core principles, "Serving Community," and we invite you to be a part of it! Quiddity is hosting a table at the Feed the Hunger Packathon event in Katy, and we're seeking enthusiastic volunteers. A Packathon is a food packing event where participants create thousands of nutritious meals for distribution through Feed the Hunger partners to children and families facing hunger. Volunteer teams collaborate to assemble four essential ingredients: a carbohydrate, a protein, dehydrated vegetables, and vitamin powder. These ingredients are packed, weighed, sealed, and boxed for distribution. The Quiddity Foundation is thrilled to support this initiative, and together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others! For more information on the Packathon, please head to the Feed the Hunger Katy website. https://lnkd.in/eqvQrQk

HEADWATERS AT THE COMAL, a conservation project by New Braunfels Utilities, is dedicated to protecting Texas's natural resources and educating the public on the importance of ecological conservation. In the past, the Quiddity Foundation provided financial support to Headwaters at the Comal. Moving forward, we are taking a step further by sponsoring the Headwaters' Saturday SEAM Series, a monthly educational program for K–3rd grade students and their families. The SEAM Program allows students to learn about Science, Engineering, Art, and Math (SEAM) while being immersed in nature.

The Quiddity Foundation extends its gratitude to all those who contributed to making this event a reality. Your involvement is truly valued. With only approximately 15% of engineers being women, we are eager to sustain and build upon this initiative.

Each year, our CANstruction initiative comes to life as each Quiddity department participates in a friendly competition to create the most impressive structure from donated canned goods. Post-event, all contributions are directed to local food banks to help prepare for the holiday season. In celebration of our 8th annual event, the Quiddity Foundation spearheaded a company-wide canned food drive, resulting in the delivery of 5,684 canned food items to various food banks across Texas! This collective effort reaffirmed our commitment to serving our community and making a tangible difference. We extend our heartfelt thanks to every member of the Quiddity family who contributed to this impactful accomplishment!

It is that time of year again and Quiddity kicked off their STEM program: Bridging the STEM Gap.  This year, we are excited to be partnering with AASHTO and TxDOT to utilize a prepared curriculum designed for students from grades 8-12. The curriculum is specifically designed to introduce students to fields in the transportation and civil engineering areas.  Activities are designed around several disciplines. The program was designed as a hands-on approach that lets students use math and science skills to solve real-world problems in transportation and engineering. There are 9 modules to the program.  Quiddity's program will also include at least one field trip and the students will each have the opportunity to give a presentation at the conclusion discussing their take-away from the program. Scholarships will be offered to the top presenters.  Thank you so much to all the wonderful Quiddity volunteers who came out to kick off another great year! Thanks to Greg Oetker for kicking the year off by allowing the students to try their hand at flying drones. Each of the scholars also had the opportunity to build a rubber band-powered car. There was great team collaboration and lots of laughter! Message me for details if you know a student in the 8-12 grade interested in joining our program. It's not too late! A huge shoutout to Shannon Watson, P.E., Camila Biaggi, CFM, ENV SP, Alejandro Colom, and Greg Oetker for volunteering their time and helping to "Bridge the STEM Gap."
