Over the last century, most Americans associated income with employment. But that’s changing. Meet Vinson Tran! As a tech operations coordinator for FCAT’s Makerspace, Vinson leads workshops, tours, and affiliated social opportunities. Vinson also works within the emerging technology team to study and test VR and AR tech, researching capabilities to improve and enhance everyday life. 🕹 What did you want to be growing up? I went to school for game design and have a few games in my portfolio, so working here has kind of been a dream come true. 🕶 What about technology excites you most? It’s a tie between the work we’re doing around XR and holograms. The tech is advancing so quickly, and we’re discovering new use cases and approaches that I think will change the way we work and live. 🤖 Besides your own, what’s a role in FCAT that you would like to try? I’ve really enjoyed working with the AI team. They’re doing such cool, new things, and it would be a great opportunity to expand my programming skills. 🥩 What’s your favorite food? I love Korean BBQ. It’s so good, and it’s a fun experience to share with friends. 🎮 What are your hobbies? I really enjoy both making and playing video games, which overlaps a lot with what I do at FCAT. In addition to my day job, I get to lead a social club focused on game design and QA new tech. As they say, “Do what you love, and you’ll never work a day in your life.” #FidelityAssociate
