Chevron has been a part of the Houston community for over a century, and we are proud to step up and help Houstonians in need. We have pledged $225,000 to be shared among the Houston Food Bank, Kids' Meals, Inc. and American Red Cross to assist with food replenishment efforts and disaster response. We appreciate all the efforts of these organizations to swiftly support our city. Additionally, our employees will be volunteering over the next few weeks with local organizations impacted by Hurricane Beryl.

Sports are a great way to teach leadership and teamwork, while also inspiring interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM)--which is why we are proud to partner with the Houston Texans on Texans Youth Football Camp presented by Chevron. Kids from all over Houston enjoyed an active and energetic morning in the Texans’ official practice facility learning drills and activities taught by pro coaches, while also exploring the STEM principles behind the game. Texans’ wide receiver Nico Collins, Toro and the Texans Cheerleaders even made appearances! Check out our human energy in action and get excited for the upcoming football season! Go Texans!

Last week, the Houston Food Bank presented Chevron with the President’s Volunteer Service Gold Award. This prestigious award was created in 2003 to recognize the important role volunteers play in solving some of our nation’s toughest challenges, like food insecurity. Volunteering is a key component of our partnerships in Houston, which aim to advance progress and strengthen communities. In 2023, Chevron recorded 2,190 hours at the Houston Food Bank, far surpassing the 500-hour threshold to achieve Gold. Thank you to everyone who gave their time and human energy to help further Houston Food Bank's mission of "Food for Better Lives". As official STEM partner of the Houston Open, Chevron was proud to welcome local middle school students to our annual Whole in One golf clinic during tournament week. With help from our friends at The Astros Golf Foundation and First Tee Greater Houston, the kids got to experience the ultimate field trip! Participants worked on their golf game with PGA Tour pros, learned about nutrition from the Houston Astros' Chef, heard from Astros sideline reporter, Julia Morales and the U of H women's golf team about sports mentality and resilience and leveled up their fitness with experts from the Chevron Fitness Center. The Chevron STEM Zone was also on site for some extra fun and competition. Teaching kids about STEM and golf out on the course sure beats a day in the classroom and we had a blast!

We’re thrilled to announce that yesterday, Chevron and the Houston Dash announced a multi-year agreement that extends our joint efforts in the Houston community. The agreement now also includes Houston Dynamo Football Club and the non-profit arm of the club, Dynamo and Dash Charities.   With this expansion, we are now officially designated as the first-ever Community Champion of both the Dash and the Dynamo, widening our impact after our original partnership began in 2022.   We look forward to collaborating with the Dash on the Goals for Girls and Points for Purpose initiatives. We're thrilled to announce the expansion of our partnership with Chevron Houston! Under our new multi-year agreement, Chevron becomes the first Community Champion of the Houston Dash, Houston Dynamo FC, and Dynamo and Dash Charities. Chevron is expanding our Goals for Girls program, providing free soccer clinics with Dash players and tickets to Dash home games for young girls. In addition, we're collaborating on the Points for Purpose program. For every point the Dash secures this season, Chevron will donate to a local youth organization.
