#Ariane6 has successfully completed the wet dress rehearsal before its inaugural launch! ✅
On 20 June, the Ariane 6 flight model-1 was fuelled on the launchpad and subsequently drained of fuel in preparation for launch.
The wet dress rehearsal included a full countdown to launch stopping as planned just a few seconds before a lift-off. This allows teams to improve and fine tune the launch system using the actual flight hardware and software in view of the inaugural flight. In parallel the chronology was accompanied by a rehearsal of the launch range that was configured for the inaugural flight of Ariane 6.
The data gathered from the wet dress rehearsal will take at least a week to analyse in full and results will be communicated in the next task force update.
Together with European Space Agency - ESA, Centre National d'Études Spatiales and ARIANESPACE, we are eagerly looking forward to the first target launch date of 9 July.
Stay tuned for more updates! 🚀

The European Space Agency - ESA, ArianeGroup, ARIANESPACE and Centre National d'Études Spatiales announce that the inaugural launch of Ariane 6 is now targeted for 2024.
After successful tests including completion of a launch chronology of the core stage up to the ignition of the Vulcain thrust chamber on 18 July in Kourou, a short hot-firing test of the combined test model (CTM) is planned for 29 August.
The following milestones will be the third hot-firing test of the upper stage in Lampoldshausen on 1 September and a long hot-firing test of the core stage, scheduled for 26 September at Europe’s Spaceport in Kourou.

🚀 Save the date! The #Ariane6 inaugural flight is scheduled for 9 July 2024, from Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana.
This announcement was made today at the ILA Berlin Air Show by ESA Director General Josef Aschbacher alongside Ariane 6 Task Force partners ArianeGroup CEO Martin Sion, CNES President Philippe Baptiste and Arianespace CEO Stéphane Israël, with Walther Pelzer, Director General of the German Space Agency at DLR.
As we approach the final phase of the launch campaign, our teams are diligently working on the last crucial steps. This upcoming flight represents the culmination of years of dedicated development and testing by #ArianeGroup and its partners across Europe. It will pave the way for commercial operations and a significant ramp-up over the next two years.
Ariane 6 is Europe’s new heavy lift launch vehicle replacing its extremely successful predecessor, Ariane 5. Modular and agile, Ariane 6 has a reignitable upper stage allowing it to launch multiple missions on different orbits on a single flight.
Thank you to all #SpaceEnablers for their dedication and hard work in making this extraordinary project a reality.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue advancing Europe’s autonomous access to space.

This announcement triggers the greatest sense of achievement of my time at #InfiniteOrbits in all possible ways.
when Infinite Orbits settled in Toulouse, its International DNA separated it from the establishement. Without a pedigree of French Diplomas, nor nationally famous advisors, the succes was only through facts and #Demonstration in a proper #Newspace fashion (OrbitGuard1 launched April 23 in GEO).
Barely any European company has been able to be both commercially viable and enter the risky #Inorbitservice market. Tomorrow, the reference of commercial In space activities may not be US nor multinational company, but an international initiative led by the most brilliant people I met, Akshay Gulati, Manos Koumandakis, Adel Haddoud.
Undeniably the #France2030 programme, with support of CNES has successfully achieved to attract international talent, growth and capital in France 🇫🇷 with clear commercial export results.
I'm glad to have contributed to the success of IO and have taken the challenge of joining a team of 5 in 2022. Not the least, binding with international partners LMO, Nurjana TechnologiesLambda-X High-Tech, Vyoma,Dawn AerospacePolitecnico di MilanoTelespazio FranceDeimos EngenhariaARIANESPACEAVS Added Value SolutionsSafran in no less than 3 fantastic projects for the European Commission
Unfortunately I had to focus also on the growth of my young family and couldn't do all assignments in parallel :-), leaving Marion Andrieux by far the most talented, to orchestrate the difficult phase of
