#SURAGUSRun #Teamgeist #ReweTeamchallenge #AfterRunParty #PassionForMeasurement "Innovation in Motion!" - Ganz nach diesem Motto haben unsere beiden Läuferteams am gestrigen Abend an der Rewe-Teamchallenge Dresden teilgenommen und haben auf den 5 km alles gegeben, während das restliche Team inklusive Kind & Kegel am Streckenrand lautstark unterstützten und anfeuerten. Unsere neuste Innovation, das "Power-Up"-Schild, fungierte als unsichtbarer Energieschub für unsere Läufer und tankte deren leere Akkus messbar schnell wieder auf. Dank dieser bahnbrechenden Technologie konnten wir größere Ausfälle vermeiden und eine unermüdliche Performance unserer Läufer garantieren! 🏃 🏃♀️ Wir haben gejubelt, gelacht und vor allem eins gezeigt: TEAMGEIST! Am Ende des Laufs wurden wir nicht nur mit Medaillen belohnt, sondern auch mit dem Gefühl, als Team noch enger zusammengewachsen zu sein. 💪 Fazit: Der Sprung ins Ziel brachte uns zwar keine Weltrekorde, aber etwas viel wertvolleres: Großartige Erinnerungen und die Gewissheit, dass wir als Team alles erreichen können, wenn wir zusammenhalten! Marcus Klein at Society of Vacuum Coaters (SVC) TechCon 2024 in Chicago As always the technical conference offered the perfect platform to introduce SURAGUS’ innovations on eddy current sensors for in-situ electrical characterization for vacuum applications, especially for #semiconductor manufacturing and #R2R processing. The panel session together with vacuum experts was a good interaction on the industrial requirements and challenges of equipment makers, converters, and material manufacturers for high volume production of functional coatings on flexible substrates.

Marcus Klein introduces the challenge for vacuum line developers and process engineers from the perspective of in-situ metrology and inline testing of flexible films containing functional coatings.

𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐱 𝐋𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐍𝐨𝐧-𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞 The innovations in thinfilm applications are introducing new and challenging layer stacks, both single layer and multilayer, that are touch sensitive, encapsulated or time-limited for contact-based measurements. This is where #EddyCurrent testing method comes in handy. This non-contact and non-destructive technology (#NDT) al­lows ac­cu­ra­te mea­su­re­ment wi­thout da­ma­ging any sen­si­ti­ve sur­face or in­du­cing artefacts due to con­tac­ting. Ap­p­ly­ing non-con­tact tech­no­lo­gy, the­re is no we­ar of need­les or tips. A fur­ther si­gni­fi­cant ad­van­ta­ge is the short mea­su­re­ment ti­me. A measurement ta­kes on­ly a few mil­li­se­conds for each mea­su­re­ment and no ti­me for con­tac­ting the sam­ple is nee­ded. This al­so al­lows to mea­su­re in­li­ne du­ring pro­duc­ti­on or “on the fly” in map­ping sys­tems. The impedance of the sensor coil is affected by material differences that influence conductivity. With the electric and dielectric properties, a wide range of materials (#metals, #alloys, #semiconductors, #carbon, #composites, #magnetic, #solvents etc) can be characterized.
