#SURAGUSRun #Teamgeist #ReweTeamchallenge #AfterRunParty #PassionForMeasurement "Innovation in Motion!"

Efficient Testing Solutions for Carbon Fiber, Thin Film, Metal and Alloys
Info
SURAGUS develops, manufactures and distributes eddy current testing technology for innovative testing tasks. The EddyCus® instrument series from SURAGUS are used for non-contact inline and offline characterization of functional thin films, metal coatings, wafer-based systems and carbon fiber materials based on eddy current technology. Depending on the testing task we offer single-point measuring instruments, inline and mapping systems are available for non-destructive measurement of the sheet resistance of thin films or determination of the fiber areal weight of carbon fibers. In addition, conductivity mapping systems enable the defect detection of simple as well as complex composite layers, thus contribute to quality assurance.

Marcus Klein at Society of Vacuum Coaters (SVC) TechCon 2024 in Chicago As always the technical conference offered the perfect platform to introduce SURAGUS’ innovations on eddy current sensors for in-situ electrical characterization for vacuum applications, especially for #semiconductor manufacturing and #R2R processing. The panel session together with vacuum experts was a good interaction on the industrial requirements and challenges of equipment makers, converters, and material manufacturers for high volume production of functional coatings on flexible substrates.

Are you attending Society of Vacuum Coaters (SVC) TechCon 2024? Then, don't miss the panel discussion on the challenges in R2R vaccum coating. A panel of experts discuss the industry best practices and address common issues on vacuum deposition processes, processing of flexible substrates, patterning, process monitoring and control for the mass production of functional films. Marcus Klein introduces the challenge for vacuum line developers and process engineers from the perspective of in-situ metrology and inline testing of flexible films containing functional coatings.

𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐱 𝐋𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐍𝐨𝐧-𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐌𝐨𝐝𝐞 The innovations in thinfilm applications are introducing new and challenging layer stacks, both single layer and multilayer, that are touch sensitive, encapsulated or time-limited for contact-based measurements. This is where #EddyCurrent testing method comes in handy. This non-contact and non-destructive technology (#NDT) allows accurate measurement without damaging any sensitive surface or inducing artefacts due to contacting. Applying non-contact technology, there is no wear of needles or tips. A further significant advantage is the short measurement time. A measurement takes only a few milliseconds for each measurement and no time for contacting the sample is needed. This also allows to measure inline during production or “on the fly” in mapping systems. If you are curious about about Eddy Current Technology and the magic of high-speed contactless measurement of #sheetresistance for your single or multilayers, please visit: https://lnkd.in/gxpQpsYZ

𝐄𝐝𝐝𝐲 𝐂𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 #EddyCurrent testing of conductive materials gives abundant information about their intrinsic properties. The impedance of the sensor coil is affected by material differences that influence conductivity. With the electric and dielectric properties, a wide range of materials (#metals, #alloys, #semiconductors, #carbon, #composites, #magnetic, #solvents etc) can be characterized. If you are inquisitive about eddy current impedance, here is a video intro: https://lnkd.in/eKeyUdy8 If you are into research and development or production of novel materials for emerging markets, please reach out to us: https://lnkd.in/emTh8Mcw
