At Gerber, we believe in doing Anything for Baby—and that includes making a positive impact on our community. This summer, we had the privilege of participating in three incredible moments with our community partners:
1️⃣ We were honored to support Family Equality, an organization that strives to create a world where everyone can experience the unconditional love, safety, and belonging of family. During Family Week in Provincetown, Mass., the largest annual gathering of LGBTQ+ families, we had the opportunity to connect with over 2,000 attendees and provide them with samples of Gerber products and swag to help them stock up on nutritious food for the week ahead.
2️⃣ In line with our commitment to positively impact how Black parents experience pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, we partnered with UNRULY to host Mom Cuts Live. This event, held in New York City, treated moms to pampering, connection and nourishment. From free hair braiding to manicures and chair yoga, to comic relief from emcee and maternal health advocate Angelina Spicer, plus interactive sessions led by celebrity chef Kathleen O'Brien-Price, licensed trauma therapist Chasity Holcomb, M.A, and parent coach and pediatric psychologist Dr. Ann-Louise T. Lockhart, PsyD, ABPP, we aimed to create a space where the moms in attendance could feel supported and celebrated.
3️⃣ Our iconic Gerber Baby logo featuring Ann Turner Cook has been a symbol of our brand for nearly 100 years. We were delighted to announce the 2023 Gerber Baby and Chief Growing Officer, Maddie, in July. To celebrate the newest addition to our Gerber family, we made a $25,000 donation to March of Dimes, an organization dedicated to supporting maternal and infant health initiatives. Additionally, we surprised Maddie and her family on air on the TODAY Show with a donation to Operation Homefront, an organization that helps build strong, stable, and secure military families. Maddie and her family have strong connections to the military—Maddie's dad serves in the US Air Force, and both of her grandfathers served in the US Navy.
We are proud to support organizations and initiatives that make a positive impact on families of all backgrounds and circumstances, and we look forward to continuing our mission of nurturing happy and healthy families everywhere.
