Thankfully, I was blessed to have a family that was and is very proud of who they are and what they stand for. I leaned on them during those foundational years. I began in this industry twenty-five years ago as a seasonal associate with the dreams and aspirations to make my ancestors proud. I had no idea that my seasonal job would lead to a full time career as a Regional Director, however I now know that I am in the position to create a space that allows moments for those with a softer voice to rise, speak up, and to be heard. Some of these projects: 🍎 Transforming an abandoned lot into a garden to provide fresh food in Detroit. 🏡 Building a tiny home community in Hawaii in response to the devastating wildfires. 🚒 Renovate a volunteer fire company’s facility in Pittsburgh. 🏘️ Building a community of safe homes for veterans in South Dakota.
